Alright, so today Alexa and I are bringing you a fun trivia post!!! But first, if you’ve missed any of the other posts, you can check them all out here:
So, guys there’s only ONE DAY LEFT, literally less than twenty-four hours, before this treasure releases out into the world. The excitement is running high. At least, I know I can’t stop thinking about it!!!! We’ve had so much fun chatting about our favorite characters, who introduced us to this series, finding fun easter eggs in the books, and giving our predictions (some of which are making me kinda scared… I mean, it’s terrible how a lot of us are agreeing that someone IMPORTANT is going to die)… maybe we’re not so ready for this release. Either way, for those of you who are probably going to get to read the book before me, let’s just go ahead and say you’re not allowed to tell me AnYtHiNg about it. Not even if you thought it was good or bad. I have to say that, cuz I feel like a lot of y’all are assuming I’m going to get my hands on a copy asap, when in all honesty, I probably won’t get it till like Christmas (though I am seeing about trying to snag a copy sooner), so I just want to be clear on that before I’m spoiled. ;P Literally, don’t even tell me if it’s good or bad. Nothing! BUT once I do get a copy and read it, I definitely plan to write a review post on it, so ONLY THEN will you be allowed to talk about The Shattered Castle around me. ONLY THEN.
Wow, I suddenly sound like a mother or something. XD
It’s just, y’all would be surprise how many times I’ve been spoiled for books, and the one thing I can’t do, is let that happen for The Shattered Castle. So that’s what’s up with the firmness. Sorry in advance if I made someone upset. (I can’t image how I’d do that, but it seems you always run that risk when you’re being serious. XD)
Now let’s get right on into the fun stuff of this post. Alexa and I quizzed each other’s knowledge on the books in a fun trivia!!!! My answers to her questions are below and her answers to my questions will be on her post tomorrow. I guess Alexa will spill the correct answers to her questions tomorrow??? Honestly, we didn’t plan that far out, so you might not ever know which ones I was right on. *evil laughter*
So, I’m sure we’re all wondering? How well do I know my all-time favorite series?????? pretty well, I’d say. Well, we’re about to find out!!! (Also, I will not be looking into the book’s for the answers. It’s tempting, but I’m pulling this all off top my head, so we can really see how well I know the books!!!!)
#1. What kind of stone was embedded in Prince Jaron’s sword?
Uhhh. It was a ruby right? Or was that the jewels on his crown? Maaaann, this is hard. It was either a ruby or an… emerald? I really think it’s a ruby.
#2. Sage wanted the bed nearest to the window but it was assigned to Roden. What did Sage do to claim the bed? (The False Prince)
Ah, easy, he spit on Roden’s pillow.

Um… Okay, so I know exactly where to find this question. Like… it is waaaay too hard not to go take a peek at my book right now.

Why did I not study up for this? XD You know, the moment someone tells me, it’s all going to click. But right now…? I got nothing. Lemme think for a sec. *a second passes* Okay, I give up. I don’t know. BUT in my defense, I’ve only read The Captive Kingdom once and that was over a year ago!! 😉

Ummm. I have no idea. My best guess? Vargan. I’m probably wrong. Wait! Maybe it was Veldergrath. Eh I have no idea. this was a REALLY good question!

#6. Who is Harlowe’s oldest son?
Wait, I know this one!!!! Why is it that I’m suddenly forgetting it? I know his name… argh, why does this brain of mine never work right. XD It started with an M. Was it Matthias? I’m pretty sure it was that. (I could be spelling it slightly wrong because I had a character with a similar name but spelled differently so I get confused now.) I’m just going to go check to see if I had the name spelled right. But I won’t change my answer. Okay, so I was right and the correct spelling is Mathias. I think that should still count since I had it mostly right. ;P
#7. What are the names of the countries that surround Carthya?
Avenia, Gelyn, and Mendenwal. Do we count Bymar? I don’t think we shouldn’t count Bymar since as far as knowledge serves, it doesn’t actually touch Carthya.
#8. List the names of the two archers who helped Sage get into the Avenian camp in The Shadow Throne?
Man, these names stuff is going to kill me. Okay, so there was definitely a henry type name I think. Or maybe it was like Hervell? It started with an H, that’s what I know. And I’ve got nothing on the other guy.
#9. What was the first thing Sage said to Imogen?
Better question? HOW ON EARTH, ALEXA, DO YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS???? I feel like you’ve personally given me very hard questions to see me roasted like this I know the scene. They were eating at Farthenwood. And then he says something. XD That’s the best I’ve got. It was like an, are you okay. Or some kind of concern he expressed??? *checks in the book because I give up but I’m REALLY curious now* Aw, man, I had the whole scene wrong. But anyway, his first words to her were “I though you were Errol.”
Alexa, I do not believe for a second you knew that off top your head. (Tell me if I’m wrong, cuz I’m curious now.) Also, I don’t think anyone else reading this did either. Man, I should’ve quizzed y’all on it.
#10. (Harder Question) What is the name of the plant Sage chews up to help numb his leg?
Ummm it was like Arvak or something. (For some unknown reason, I’m wanting to spell aardvark. XD) I know the word when I see it, but I should’ve told y’all I’m not great at spelling. So I memorize the spelling of words weirdly. Hence, why in HTHC everyone’s names spelled a million different ways in the first draft. XD
Phew, I’ve never been happier to finish a trivia XD. Okay, guys, I just feel like I’ve been roasted. Alexa… girl, those were some crazy hard questions. I’m actually regretting trying to give you easier ones now. XD

Oh my gosh!!!!!! ISSABELLE! I am so sorry for roasting you! XD For some reason, I had the idea in my head that you would get to use the books for help with this trivia! Gah! XD But now that I think about it, I realize then it wouldn’t be as much as a trivia. Girl, now I got to give you better questions! *slaps forehead several times* But anyway, I LOVED your answers! Hahahahaaha, awwww, Alexa, it is TOTALLY 100% okay!!!! And, in all honest, my brain needed the challenge. Lol, oh, yeah, I had to go all out for this one. It was fun testing my memory to see how I did. I mean, I’ve taken a lot of false prince trivia before, and let’s say most of them are pretty easy for me. This is literally the ONLY one I’ve ever flunked. Hahahaha, seriously, girl, it is totally okay!!!! I didn’t mind it at all!!!! Awww THANK YOU!!!!!! Lol YESSSSS!!!!!
