‘Sup everyone!!!!! (Yes, I’m trying to bring ‘sup back.) I’m super excited for today’s post. But if you missed the last one it was my SUPER SECRET POST and you probably don’t wanna miss it. (Well, uh, you might wanna note probably.) But moving on, today I wanted to share ten AMAZING blogs for you all to check out. I mean really, they are I N C R E D I B L E!!!!!! I should point out THEY ARE NOT IN ORDER OF MOST FAVORITES TO LEAST. I think all of these sites are amazing and none are better than the other. (Also, I could only pick ten blogs to put down, and I LOVE SOOOO MANY BLOGS, so they are NOT my top ten favorites, only ten I REALLY wanted to spotlight. Does that make sense?)

#1. Allie Andersen – So, we’re starting off with Allie’s blog partly because she was the first friend I had around the blogosphere. Her site has Sci-Fi short stories EVERY. SINGLE. FRIDAY. Aaaaannnnddd, if you don’t feel much like reading, she has a podcast you can listen to. Which you can also get off of your Amazon Alexa. I mean HOW COOL IS THAT!!! Also, every other Monday, she has a post on something extra. Like stuff about her books or other fun things. Allie is just one of the sweetest people I know. And all I can say, is ya’ll should just TOTALLY go check out her site. I don’t really know if I can pick a favorite post from hers ’cause I just love them all, so I’m gonna give you the link to chapter 1 of volume two for Sci-Fi Fridays…which you can find here! Well, not exactly there. I mean you have to click on the link and…you know I don’t know why I’m saying all of this. You all should already know it. Let’s just move on.

Or…uh…you know click on the link and….never mind. πŸ˜‰

#3. Julia’s Creative Corner – This is a really great blog for writers!!!! Julia is very real, showing both the good days and not-so-good days as a writer, with some helpful advice!! #4. Shining Star – And here’s a very new blog to the blogosphere!! Welcome, welcome, SHINING STAR!!!!! This is definitely a blog to check out. Like I said it’s new, so there’s not a whole lot of posts up…YET! But that means you can read all of them. Amiright! I’m VERY excited to see where this blog goes. Addie, who’s behind the genius name Shining Star, is not new to blogging in general. This is just a new site for her. Soooooo, if you wanna know more about Addie and Shining Star go here!

#5. My Days in Montana – This blog is really JUST SO MUCH FUN!!!! Shanessa, the awesome girl behind this it, is just outgoing, positive, fun, and can I just say all around amazing? πŸ˜‰ You will LOVE it. And I’d be surprised if you didn’t walk away with a smile on your face!!! Guys, it’s sooo hard to pick favorite posts sometimes, so again, I’m just gonna give you the link to her latest post!!

#6. Wild Writing Dreams – This site is just so, so OUTSTANDING!!!!! Mary will leave you with a smile on your face and a head full of useful writing tips. She’s so positive, outgoing, and man, does this girl KNOW HER WRITING STUFF!!! And we can’t forget all the GIFs. They just make learning about writing even more fun. πŸ˜‰ I believe she posts every Monday. Also, especially check out her post on writing fight scenes here. It was one of my MANY favorites.

#7. Scribes and Archers – Another great blog with AWESOME writing tips. I haven’t been around for a SUPER long time, but I’m super excited for all the great writing tips I know I’m going to learn. R. M. Archer just seems like such an INCREDIBLE GAL!!!! Her blog is one to DEFINITELY check out. And don’t miss her post on description, I learned SOOO MUCH FROM IT!! Check it out hereeeeeee!!! Aaaaannnnddddd she actually has a PUBLISHED NOVEL!!!!! It’s called The Mirror Hunter Chronicles. I haven’t read it…yet. But it looks sooooo good. Ya’ll should check it out.

#8. Virtual Paper – Ribbon Ash (I’m not really quite sure what that means, but it sounds like such a creative name!!!) is the amazing gal behind Virtual Paper. Her posts are filled with just about anything an avid reader/serious writer/anyone in general would wanna read. She does tags, talks about books (and sometimes her own WIP – which let me just say is GENIUS!!!! You guys need to read about it here. Like right now. ACTUALLY WAIT!!! First read this post and comment, THEN go check out all of these amazing sites. Phew, I ’bout lost all of my readers.) But yes, you will L O V E Virtual Paper, so I definitely recommend checking it out.

#9. Vibrant for Jesus –  Soooo, first off, it’s a blog with so much great advice on how to live like Jesus Christ. Do I need to say more? Plus Grace behind this awesome blog is just one of the sweetest people you will ever meet in your life. Her posts are ALWAYS inspiring me to reach higher and live a deeper, more Christ-centered life. Definitely one to browse through the archives for pasts posts. One you really need to check out is her post on humility. It really shed the true light on how to be truly humble. It was very convicting for me, and I KNOW YOU GUYS WILL LOVE IT!!!! Check it out here!

#10 Stepping Stones Book Reviews – A REALLY AWESOME blog for any kind of bibliophile!!!!! And JadeSky’s enthusiasm for books and reading will make you LOVE BOOKS EVEN MORE!!!!! (If that’s possible, that is.) A fun place to get new book recommendations and fangirl over your old favorites. Also check out her interview with Jen Calonita. This was a post I REALLY ENJOYED!!!!!!!

Aaaannnndddd, if you missed chapter 1 of my new story on Critique Corner, go check that out. Chp. 2’s getting ready to go live in about a week, and you’re gonna wanna read chp. 1 before that, so you’re not lost.

SOOOO IN THE COMMENTS let me know: have you heard of any of these sites? Do you have any blog recommendations, they can even be your own (if it’s not already listed, that is)? I’m running out of questions to ask, so let’s just chat below!!!!

Issabelle Perry is a proud Jesus follower, an extroverted writer, and a homeschool graduate. When she's not writing, you can find her reading, jamming to Skillet, studying history, hunting for Narnia in wardrobes, or envisioning herself wielding a magnificent sword (but due to her clumsiness, let’s hope that never happens). This self-proclaimed exclamation mark enthusiast can be found hanging out at Teen Writers’ Nook, a community of teen authors Issabelle co-founded in 2020. She is the author of Don't Let Me Go (Sky's the Limit Press 2024), May We Make Them Proud (2023), and a co-editor for two anthologies. What she’s probably doing right now is fangirling about her favorite books to random people or scanning the pantries for chocolate.

Awww, I am so honored to be on this list, Maggie!! <3 Your comments about it just about made me cry! Thank you so much, I am so glad to hear that you like my blog so much!! This truly made my day, Maggie! I can't wait to take a peek around these other blogs!

    • Maggie

Aw, you’re just too sweet!!! <3 <3 <3 You are soooooo welcome!!! OF COURSE, I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!!!! It was, I believe, one of the first blogs that I ever commented on. And, come on, it's GENIUS, you're GENIUS!!! I'm the one who is SOOOO thankful for how welcoming you were when I first started blogging. Oh, yes, I know you'll love them!!! Thanks for your comment, it really made my day!!

  • Joy Caroline

I’ll have to check out these blogs! Besides this website, I don’t really follow many others. I read Desiring God, which is an AMAZING Christian site and their founder is so in step with God’s Word. I also read Go Teen Writers. And then Biblia Faithlife, which is a site where you can read the Bible in any version, you can read great sermons, and you can sign up for their verse of the day along with really pretty artwork. So yeah, those are websites I’d recommend.
    Excited to look these up!

    • Maggie

Oh, yes!!! Especially Vibrant for Jesus, I think you’ll REALLY like that one, ’cause of all the great Christian insights. FELLOW GO TEEN WRITERS GAL!! *high-fives* Oooh, these all sound like AWESOME websites! I’ll have to check them out as well. Thank you for sharing!!! Love hearing from ya, Gal!!

  • Jen

I am so honoured to be on this list! Your words are so sweet and kind and just *HUGS*. Thank you so much! And that image you made is so gorgeous! I love it!!! Again thank you SOOOO much!!! <333

    • Maggie

Aw *hugs* you’re just too sweet!! You are soooo welcome!!! YAY!! I’m sooo happy you liked it. I was wondering what everyone would think of the images. I tried to think about each blog individually and what made them so unique and what the bloggers liked so the image would show a bit of both blog and blogger. (Is that crazy?) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 You are just the SWEETEST!!!!

      • Jen

That’s not at all crazy! What’s funny is, I’m not sure you know this because I haven’t really put it out there yet, my pen name is Jenavieve Rose and you have a picture with a rose in it and I think it’s just perfect! And this is probably going to sound crazy, but that’s my favourite type of pen (although I’ve yet to actually use one, lol). I love all three pictures and you just did a really great job! I am amazed at how you were able to do that without even knowing me that long yet. ^_^ <333 Those pictures are just so me! πŸ˜€

        • Maggie

Phew! Good to know! Wow, that’s pretty funny!!! And, yeah, soo perfect!! (Actually, I thought Jenavieve Rose was your REAL name, ’cause for my list of email subscribers, they have a spot for names, but they don’t normally have any names listed, but one day, all of a sudden, that’s what popped up under your email, so I didn’t know how it happened, but I thought it was your real name. And I think it’s sooooo pretty!!!) THAT’S MY FAVORITE TYPE OF PEN BUT I’VE NEVER USED IT EITHER!!!! I’m serious. I almost asked my mom to get me one of them for Christmas, but instead just stuck with a long list of books. WOW! I’m amazed, too. Maybe we have a lot of things in common… YAY!! I’m soooo happy!!!

          • Jen

Oh, *sheepish grin* haha, I forgot I did that. Yeah, there’s this spot on the newsletter where you can change your subscriber settings and I’m slowly trying to get my pen name out there so I set it up there. (I hope that explanation makes sense, lol πŸ˜‰ ) Aww, thanks! I’ve always loved the name Genavieve but my real name starts with J so I swapped it for the G and I’ve always thought Rose was a pretty last name. So, there’s my pen name story. XD Lol, cool! Books for Christmas are the best! Oooh, maybe we do! ;D

            • Maggie

Oh, that makes a TON of SENSE!! And finally solves the whole mystery! I actually really loved the way you spelled your pen name and I might of been thinking of a character in one of my books to name Jenavieve, but I won’t do it now that I know it’s your pen name. Rose is SUCH a pretty name!! Haha, I LOVED IT!!!! Books are the BEST. We probably do. ;D

          • Jen

Aww, thanks! ^_^ Lol, yeah, I should probably put something up on my blog about it being my pen name, I’m very new to all this online/blogging stuff. XD

            • Katherine

πŸ™‚ I’m new to this blogging stuff too. “We’re all in this together!” (Ok, now the High School Musical song is stuck in my head.😁 I have this weird quirk where I like to quote movies. It’s crazy. πŸ™‚ ) When I started blogging, I went under the pen name of Lacey. But then I decided that I wanted to use my real name instead. But I still love pen names anyways.πŸ™‚ P. S. I once named a character of mine Genavieve. She was the daughter of a character named Gwendolyn.

              • Ally M.J.

Pen names galore. That’s what you’d see if you step into my glorious, beautiful, breathtaking mess of a Google doc collection. XD I’ve cycled through pen names like nobody’s business. I almost NEVER use my real name, unless it’s for school or something else reasonably important.

              • Jen

Haha, I love quoting movie lines too, (and also video game lines from Kingdom Hearts. πŸ˜‰ ) sometimes my siblings and I see if we can keep a conversation going with only movie lines, it’s quite hilarious. XD

Yeah, I remember you were Lacey when I first found this site, both names are very pretty. ^_^ Pen name, or real name, it’s just whatever works for that particular person. πŸ˜‰

That’s so cool on your character names! G(J)enavieves ROCK! XD I’ve always loved having two characters close together who have that pairing of names, there’s just something about having a Genavieve and a Gwendolyn. It always makes me think of the Arthurian Legends.

                • Katherine

YOU LOVE QUOTING MOVIES TOO!!!!!! πŸ˜ƒ *high-fives* Quoting movies is the BEST! Haha. That’s so cool! I should try doing that.πŸ™‚ Once I start a line from a movie, me and my siblings keep reciting the movie until we get stumped (or break out in song, XD). That’s cool that you also quote lines from Kingdom Hearts! (I must admit I hadn’t heard of Kingdom Hearts before.)

Thank you.πŸ™‚ You are so right! *nods head in agreement*

Thank you! Yes, G(J)enavieves do ROCK!!! XD Me too. It’s so awesome to have name pairings!πŸ˜‰ Ooh, the Arthurian Legends are cool! πŸ™‚

                  • Jen

Kingdom Hearts is basically Disney combined with Japanese games, sort of… it’s really hard to explain. XD Your best bet would probably be to google it because even though I’ve been playing these games almost my entire life, they are very hard to explain. Like, Kingdom Hearts 2 isn’t the second game chonologically, it’s very crazy, yet I love the series so much! ^_^

  • Victoria

I’ve never heard of these blogs before, but I absolutely can’t wait to check them out!!! Thanks so much for the recommendations! Here are some blogs you might find interesting that are all by some of the sweetest girls ever!

    • Maggie

Oh, YES, definitely check them out!!! You are very welcome!! πŸ™‚
Ooh, yes, THANK YOU for the recommendations!!!! Most of these I haven’t heard of, but I have actually been to Lit Aflame’s site before. (Except I haven’t read that post, yet. I’m SUPER EXCITED TO READ IT!!!!!) Actually what’s really funny, is that one time when I was on Lit Aflame’s site, I was looking at some post (I don’t remember what) and I saw someone named Victoria commenting. I figured it was you and I was like WHAT??!! I KNOW THAT GIRL!!! SHE’S ONE OF MY READERS!!!! It was kind of funny in the moment. XD

  • Mary

Oh my goodness, Maggie, thank you so much for putting me on the list ❀️ I just about melted into a puddle of happy tears when reading your comments 😭 Also the collage you made it so beautiful! This absolutely made my day.

    • Maggie

*happy dance* Though you really have no idea why, and I’m worried if I tell you, you’re gonna think I’m REALLY insane. But, I guess I’m gonna say it anyway. (It’s gonna sound REALLY ridiculous, though.) But I’ve been wanting you to comment on my site for a really long while now, so this is just making me sooooo happy!!! I know, it sounds crazy, but I LOVE comments, and I count all my commentors as the most AMAZING people on earth, and I always thought you were really cool. Soo… REALLY CRAZY, I KNOW!! (Please, don’t think I’m super weird.)
Aw, you are sooooo welcome!!! I love your blog and I think other people should check it out. They’re really missing out on the chocolate, and the GIFs, and the helpful writing tips, but mostly the chocolate. XD YAY, I’m sooo happy you liked it!!!!

      • Mary

Wow, honestly I’m honoured you wanted me to comment! But ahhh it’s okay, I totally understand the feeling!! I don’t think you’re weird at all!
Thank youu! Hahaha, saying the ‘the chocolate, and the GIFs, and the helpful writing tips’ out-loud kind of rhymes πŸ˜‚ But, yes, *nods head sagely* they’re missing out on all the chocolate πŸ˜†

        • Maggie

Phew! I was sooooo worried you were gonna be like this girl is just way too weird, let me slowly walk away. πŸ˜‚
You’re welcome!! Oh, yeah, it does kind of rhyme. YES!! XD The chocolate is the MOST IMPORTANT PART of your blog. *nods head sagely back* You were so wise to include it. XD

  • Victoria

OH MY WORD! Yes, I’m 99% sure that WAS me! XD That’s hilarious! Yeah, Julia’s blog is one of my favorites and we’ve actually been able to get to know each other a little better through emailing, so that’s been such a blessing! I also thought of another blog after commenting: https://journeypromises.wordpress.com. This is actually my pen pal’s blog and I think she knows Grace from Vibrant for Jesus! I thought that was pretty cool!

    • Maggie

Yeah, I’m 99.9% sure it was you. XD Oh, that’s really cool!!!! There’s a few bloggers I’ve gotten to know pretty well through email, soo, yeah, I totally get that!!!! Oooh, this blog looks REALLY awesome, too!!! Really? That’s soooo cool. I’ve known Grace for a couple of months now (I’m still SUPER new to blogging and stuff.) That’s just SO COOL!!!! Man, it’s like everyone is connected somehow. I’ve been trying so hard to get into the loop of things. πŸ˜‚

    • Maggie

You are just soooo welcome!!!! YAY!! I’m soo happy you liked it!! I honestly didn’t know if you (or the other bloggers) would. Oh, yes, that would be SUPER COOL!!!! πŸ™‚ THANK YOU for reading and commenting!

  • JadeSky

Hey! Thanks so much for featuring my blog. I really, really appreciate it and all of your super kind comments! I’m so glad you enjoyed the interview with Jen Calonita, too! πŸ™‚ I have never heard of any of the other blogs (except Allie’s) so I will definitely have to check them out.

    • Maggie

Hey! You’re soooo welcome!!! Of course I enjoyed the interview, it was really A M A Z I N G!!!!! Yes, definitely check them out. I’m sure you’ll love them. Thank you for commenting. Love hearing from you!!

  • Julia

*gaaaAAAAAAaaaaasp!* You included my blog!! And oh my goodness, the graphic you made for it looks so good! And thank you so much for all your kind words!! πŸ˜„ It totally brightened my day!

    • Maggie

Of course I included your blog!!! I just loooooveeee it so, so, so, SO much!! Aw, I’m just VERY HAPPY you liked it!!! You’re welcome! Though, I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. Just to let you know, I don’t do these things just to be nice, but because I REALLY MEAN IT!!!! Aw, you’re too sweet!

    • Maggie

YAY!!! They are really A M A Z I N G!!!!! πŸ˜‰ Love hearing from you, Gal!! Your comments always make me smile. (I don’t know why, but when I first thought of doing this post, I was a bit worried that some of my readers would start checking out other blogs and lose interest in mine – ’cause those other sites are really incredible – and I was just like, fine I can lose a few readers, but no one was allowed to take Jane from me. She was one of my first readers and I intend to keep her until I bore her to death. XD [And Ally M. J., Joy Caroline, Jen, Victoria, Lily, Trixie, and Allie Andersen, in case any of you read this comment, you were on the list, too.] I have no idea why I told you all of that. Now you’re probably thinking I’m REALLY crazy. But for some unknown reason it’s hard to get commentors, and I don’t think most people get the most amazing crowd I’ve been blessed with, soooooo, yeah. Don’t think I’m SUPER weird. I blame it on the lack of sleep. XD)

      • Jane

Aaawwww!!! Yours make me smile to! I was thinking about that when I read the post, I though it was sweet of you to put other peoples blogs on here. I could never leave this blog it’s to fantabulous!
I don’t think it’s crazy at all, in fact I have a lot of people who would say I’m just as crazy, if not more.
Lack of sleep is always the problem! I get it, although my mom has to walk through my room to get to hers (I know that’s weird, but I can’t really explain it through commenting) so every time I try to stay up late reading or writing she always catches me at it and says I need to sleep.
Anyway I really love this blog, I don’t think I could ever leave it, you are all so much fun! πŸ™‚ <3 <3

        • Maggie

Aww, you’re just TOO SWEET, Jane!!!! Aw, THANK YOU, GIRL!!!! I really like helping out other blogs. I’m glad my blog is cool enough to be called fantabulous!

XD Though, I’m gonna just say it. I HIGHLY doubt you’re as crazy as me. Really. I’m about as insane as they come. πŸ˜‚

Aaaahh, yes. Lack of sleep: a writer’s greatest enemy. (Maybe one day I’ll write a book on THAT!! πŸ˜†) Haha, yeah that’d be hard to explain, so I’m just gonna take your word for it. Oh, yes. Mothers are always looking out for us like that. Girl, you’re just making my day. I hope you never leave, too. You’re just sooo much fun!! <3 <3 <3 <3333

        • Katherine

Awww!!!!!!😊 Thank you so much, Jane!!! I hope you never leave too. I love all my readers and commenters!❀️❀️❀️ You guys mean the world to me and I think of you guys ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!! I am SO BLESSED to know you guys!!! <3 Y'all are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!

    • Maggie

Of course I included your blog!!!!! I LOVE IT SOO MUCH!!! Aww, thank you a bunch!! You’re too sweet!! πŸ’•πŸ’• THANK YOU for reading and commenting!!!!!

      • Shanessa

Aww thank you so much that means a lot to meπŸ’— I never thought anybody would “love” my blog. I never thought anybody would really care about it. But, the community is amazing!! Addie (my irl friend) @shining star was actually my inspiration πŸ˜‰ she started a collab with her friend and I had no idea what a blog was till I looked at hers and her friends. And I started looking at other peoples and I saw how much fun it would be so I asked my parents (it took weeks for them to say yes) and they let me have one! Amd I loveeee writing now! I’m glad I decided to have a blog!

And all those other blogs are AWESOME too!!! πŸ˜‰

        • Maggie

You’re WELCOME!!!! πŸ’• Well, if anyone didn’t just LOVE it, then they’re silly and don’t have good taste in blogs. And I wouldn’t want them hanging around anyway if I were you. And honestly, I have SOO felt that way, that no one would really care about my site. That’s soo cool!!! The inspiration behind my blog was actually because of a lot of discouragement I faced in my life as an aspiring teen writer. Things like teens couldn’t write an amazing novel and other things. I decided I wanted to be able to be an encourager, not just for teen writers but for everyone who needed it in anything. I wanted to be someone who pushed against life’s negativity. I think that’s something we all need in life. And I had a couple of friends who felt the same way. So, yeah, that’s how Teen Writers’ Nook came about. I’m sooo glad you decided to have a blog, too!!!!

          Yes!! They are really COOL!!!

          • Maggie

Hi, Shanessa, sorry I’m responding a bit late. I’m am soooo sorry to hear about what you’re going through. I will DEFINITELY be praying for you and your sister. I know your comment was a very personal one, so I held off posting it. Because I didn’t want the pain you’re feeling to be exposed to people that I don’t know who are reading it. If you’d like for others to pray for you, I’d be glad to post a comment like that if you want me to, I know you might be vulnerable at this time and for your safety, I didn’t want your pain to be exposed. If you ever need to talk, you’re welcome to send me personal comments to let me know how you’re doing. I pray things go well and you’re in a safe environment with a loving family. Just ALWAYS remember you are NOT going through this alone. And I’m (and Teen Writers’ Nook) is ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU! God will ALWAYS keep HIS hand on you and will NEVER let you walk through these things alone. You are His daughter, He calls you Precious, Beloved Child, Forgiven, Free, and Chosen. He LOVES you more than you’ll ever know. He Created you and Cherishes you. Never forget this! Sometimes the future is scary, I know this VERY well, but God walks beside you, holding your hand. I just know in my heart, He has a special plan for you. Never forget how loved YOU ARE!!! I am praying for you.

  • Ribbon Ash

      • Ribbon Ash

I’m glad! It is really a brilliant piece of art for me. I’ll put it on my blog soon (probably next year since that’s when I’m updating the look of my blog).

        • Maggie
