ALL-NEW SERIES. A Peek Into My Notebook: Episode 1: The Forbidden Chronicles

Sooo for any of y’all awesome TWNers who have been around the blog since January, you may or may not remember the virtual scavenger hunt we hosted: Escaping the Blogosphere. (Which has been requested to become an annual thing, soooo we may or may not be having it again next year. Just givin’ y’all an early sneak peek. πŸ˜‰ ) AnYwAy as the prizes we gave away, those who won the second prizes got to pick any post for me to do on TWN. The AMAZING Jen Rose (Pst, you guys can go check out her awesome blog right o’er here) requested me to do a post, and I quote, “Maybe have your main characters from your current WIP either be interviewed by you or just talk about their story… or maybe interview each other? Or something else?” Annnddd I thought, wait a minute, what if I did a whole series all about my books? We could have character interviews, fun excerpts, graphics, maybe games and giveaways, and just a lotta awesomely fun stuff!!!!!!!!!! AND for all of y’all who wanna hear more about In Pursuit of Hope or some of the other works on my writing’s page that I haven’t talked much about, THEN THIS IS THE SERIES FOR YOU!!!!!!! How does that sound?

*grins smugly* That’s what I thought y’all would say. πŸ˜‰ So let’s get right on in, shall we?

THE FORBIDDEN CHRONICLES:

For the first post in this series, I thought I’d start off with my series titled: The Forbidden Chronicles. Let’s get all the basic facts about it down first.

BASIC FACTS:

Mock cover for book one:

Genre: YA high fantasy (Oh, yeah! We’re going to the big stuff. XD I have no idea what that was even supposed to mean. XD)

Status: Ehhhh, well, I meant to work on this book as soon as I finished Heir to His Crown, but Ashlee and Ruslan kinda took over and plans changed. I’ve had this idea since Feb. (that’s long for me, y’all) and I’ve actually been doing some pretty minor plotting!!!! I don’t normally plot, cuz my stories tend to turn out better when I let my pansting side take over (I know y’all plotters are shocked, but it’s true, that’s just how I work as a writer). BUT this story is gonna have a lot of plot twists and magic systems to keep in check, so I figured some minor plotting will help me out with this one. So that’s what I’ve been doing.

Main character: Cascade. She’s sixteen years old, spunky, optimistic, adventurous, and the kinda girl who’s not afraid to speak her mind. (Yeah, she got that one from me. XD) BUT she does have an introverted side to her, especially when she’s in new situations. (*cough* kinda why I had to ruin her life, y’all XD). She wants to please everyone, but at the same time, she’s not going to try to be someone she’s not just to make that happen. Now, y’all know I don’t normally focus on what my characters look like, but here are just some extra details I’ve worked out for Cascade on what she looks like physically: dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, average height, oddly pointed ears (which she is VERY subconscious about, so don’t EVER mention it to her) and etc.

Number of books in the series: five… well, I’m hoping I can do five. I have a hard enough time trying to do a trilogy, so we’ll see. (The books in the series are: Forbidden (#1), Cursed (#2), Untold (#3), Discovered (#4), and Freedom (#5).)

Book One Summary: I had one… but then a week ago, I decided to completely change my plot, so here’s just an overly-informed ramble about the book.

Magic is forbidden in my country…

Sooo basically lemme set the world for y’all. It’s obviously a high fantasy setting with lotsa mystical creatures (I might throw a genie or two in there for old times sake XD), but through the years, Doesn’t-Have-A-Name-Yet, the place where Cascade lives, has been through war after war to where all of those magical creatures have pretty much become extinct. So now it’s just a bunch of boring, ole humans. XD Or are they boring! You see, in this world, there are some humans who are born with magic. (I haven’t figured out how yet, but I’m working on it.) Jump about three hundred years into the future, and now the ruling powers of Doesn’t-Have-A-Name-Yet is this controlling government. I don’t have quite all the details worked out for the past history (remember, I just completely changed my plot a week ago) but basically there were some humans who had magic who revolted against the ruling powers and ended up killing the Government-Ruling-Dude’s son or something. WHICH made Government-Ruling-Dude REALLY mad and he decided that people with magic were evil and the only way to protect Doesn’t-Have-A-Name-Yet was to rid the world of these magical humans. Sooo jump ahead another fifty years and we have the setting for the book. Having magic is illegal in Doesn’t-Have-A-Name-Yet and all those who are born with the curse of magic are known as the Forbidden. Government-Ruling-Dude-#2 now has all his guards/armed forces going throughout the land still hunting down Forbiddens who are still alive. Oh, and the world’s also a bit of a mix between a dystopian/sci-fi/fantasy world, so y’know there’s that. (Seriously, y’all, EVER since I got the idea for a dystopian/sci-fi/fantasy novel I have been pretty much addicted to that setting. *hides all the books who are suddenly acquiring the same worldbuilding* I need help.)

Nuff worldbuilding talk. Let’s get to the actual plot!!!! So on Cascade’s sixteen birthday government officials arrive at her house and claim that she is one of those born with the curse of magic. Of course, she denied it cuz she’s NEVER had magic in all her life, but see magic doesn’t always appear when a child’s born. It can take years before someone starts showing the signs that they have magic. And these government people know what signs to look for. So now that we’ve settled Cascade does have magic, the government people (I really need names, y’all XD) immediately take her away from her home and family. No one really knows what happens to the Forbidden once they’re caught. They’ve just always mysteriously disappear. However, that is not the case with Cascade. She’s taken to some remote facility run my Abner Brilliant (name subject to change), a man in close alliance with Government-Ruling-Dude-#2. There she meets three other Forbiddens close to her age, one of which is a mysterious boy with a shadowy past that seems to frighten Abner and his men. But she has bigger concerns to focus on when Abner explains why he has gathered these young Forbidden. He anticipates a war with the elves on the Northern Border–elves who were supposed to be extinct but legends says has magic powers beyond understanding–and believes the answer to Doesn’t-Have-A-Name-Yet’s safety is in the very people the land has shun: the Forbidden. While Cascade would rather not get caught up in one man’s conspiracy theories, she has no choice. You see, Abner only wants the best and whoever doesn’t excel in the training the four Forbidden have to undergo, will fall to the same fate as the Forbidden before them.

DUN DUN DUNNNN!!!!!!

Well, as y’all can see, I still have a LOT of stuff to figure out and even what I’ve given y’all could very well change as I get to work on it, but there’s some stuff for y’all now.

GRAPHICS:

Now it’s time for the fun stuff. Here’s some graphics I’ve made for it. We’ve got Cascade’s character board:

Remember that mysterious boy in my rambling summary? Okay, his name is Justin and here’s some kind of character cardish thingy for him. πŸ™‚

If you’ll look closely, you can see he has “fire” in his eyes which I thought was pretty cool to add. I’m planning on making one for Cascade soon, I just haven’t gotten to it yet. Making it wasn’t as easy as it looks.

And here’s a promotional graphic thing.

Annnd I would share some snippets, I just don’t have anything written. *sheepish smile* So instead, I’ll give y’all some fun facts!!!

FUN FACTS:

#1. Cascade has water powers and Justin has fire powers. And the other two Forbidden who lack names has time and visibility powers.

#2. The idea for this book LITERALLY came from the cover. I was bored one day, designed the cover, and a day or two later I finally go the idea for it.

#3. Though, you might find it hard to believe, Cascade’s world is set in the SAME world as Heir to His Crown, only it’s like three thousand or so years into the future. And Keenum’s stories focus primarily on the west side of this world, while Cascade lives on the east. Why is that important? The west side of the world has less magic than the east and no magical creatures.

#4. I am hoping to write the first book, Forbidden, after I write the sequel to Into the Lamp (which is planned to be after In Pursuit of Hope and Checkmate… don’t ask. XD)

#5. The setting was going to be a medieval type setting before I decided to change it.

#6. Cascade has an older brother.

#7. That conversation Keenum had mentioned in an old post that he had with Colin and Robyn was how I was going to present y’all this story idea before I decided to go a different route.

#8. I’m aiming for this book to be a 100K novel.

CONCLUSION:

Well, I know this wasn’t the most interesting post ever, BUT the other ones in this series I plan on being WAY more fun. Which, I’ll go ahead and give y’all a rough sketch of the rest of this series, but please note this could VERY much change!!!!

Episode 2: What Lay Beyond the Woods Duology

Episode 3: Into the Lamp Trilogy

Episode 4: In Pursuit of Hope

Episode 5: Checkmate

Episode 6: Heir to His Crown Trilogy

Episode 7: A Spy’s Life Series

Episode 8: Crown of Beauty, Crown of Ashes Trilogy

WHICH LEADS ME TO MY SUPER AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!! I am FINALLY going to be interview Robyn Hood from What Lay Beyond the Woods in my next post for the series!!! WHICH MEANS y’all get to send in questions!!! EEE!!!! So you get a maximum of five (just cuz I’m REALLY hoping we’ll get a lot of different people sending questions in) and they can be about whatever you want them to be. You can send them in either one of two ways. (1) you can send in your questions through the contact form or (2) you can leave them in the comments below. And Robyn will answer them in my next post in this new series. (Also, cuz I have no idea when I’m going to do the next post, it’d be great if y’all could send them in before the end of next week. THANKS!!!! πŸ™‚ )

Also, note: TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SEND IN YOUR STORY FOR IMAGINE!!!!! You have until midnight tonight EST. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me or anyone else at TWN know. Thank you!

Keep on being awesome and never stop writing,

First off, I wanna say THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for expressing interest in Heir to His Crown. It just warms my heart so when people ask about my stories like this. 😊 Anyway, as of right now, Heir to His Crown, is currently undergoing a lotta edits and isn’t released YET. But I do hope (*crossing fingers*) for it to be released sometime in a year and a half. I know that’s a loooong time to wait, but I like to overestimate my times in case problems and all that stuff arise. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for stopping by, Maryam, and I hope you have a blessed day!!! πŸ™‚

I have some strange obsession with wanting to explore my fictional worlds and write stories from EVERY single country in the world. XD There’s just so much I don’t know about it all!!! (Surprisingly, you’re the only one who commented about that. I was really expecting more people to find them being in the same world cool.)
(EEEE THANK YOUUUU!!!!!! More’s on the way!! πŸ™‚ )

  • Em Elizabeth

Ooo, both this post series and this book idea sound so cool! I love the concepts you have in mind for it, and the name Cascade is so unique and pretty! I also love how she and Justin kind of have opposite powers (she’s water, he’s fire), and the quote you have on Cascade’s character graphic is insanely insightful! I admire your ability to juggle so many ideas at once and still make progress with them. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

    • Issabelle Perry

Eeee, THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH, Em Elizabeth!!!! That means SO much to me!!!! D’awww, girl, you’re too sweet. 😊 I was really wanting to try out a new concept idea, so I just kinda went for the first thing that came into my mind. XD Eeee, THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! I really loved the name Cascade, too!!!! *high fives* Hehehehe, YESSS!!!! I was really hoping someone else would notice them having the opposite powers, but you’re the first to mention it!!!!!!!!! Girl, like this comment is just making me smile so hard. THANK YOUUUUUUU!!!!!! Ooo, yeah, THANK YOU!!!! To be honest, it really ain’t easy trying to balance multiple projects at once, but I can’t help myself sometimes. XD THANK YOUUU!!!! More is on the way!!!

  • Allie Jo Andersen

I loved this post, Is!!! It was so fun to hear about this new project of yours!!!! Okay, first off, I absolutely love the cover, and I think the premise is so clever and intriguing!!! Second, I think it’s kinda funny/amusing that one of your characters’ last names is Brilliant, because my first name, Allie, means brilliant (XD little-known fact about me lol). I love how this kinda has a fairytale/superhero/fantasy/action-adventure vibe and can’t wait to see how it turns out when you write it!! πŸ˜€ I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes in this series!!

    • Issabelle Perry

Awww, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, ALLIE!!!!!!!! I’m sooo glad to hear that!!!! Like I always get SO happy when peeps say they like my cover, so seriously, THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!!! <3333 Aww, you do? But seriously THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO SOOOO MUCH!!!!!! EEE!!!! AWESOME!!! More is on the way! <33 πŸ™‚

      • Allie Jo Andersen

You are very welcome, friend!!! Aww, you are very welcome!!!! Haha, yes it’s a fact that I don’t go around saying all the time but had to mention because of your character. Yay, can’t wait!! πŸ˜€

        • Issabelle Perry

❀️❀️❀️ Lol! XD Well, if you’re ever in a situation where someone is questioning what you’re doing/your reasoning/logic, eh you get the point (XD), then you have the upper hand with your name meaning brilliant. You’d be like see, it’s right in the name or something, lol. (Yes, I am getting a real good kick out of this. XD) 🀣🀣🀣🀣 (You’re welcome! πŸ˜‰ ) YESSS SAME!!! *high fives* It’s waaay more fun! • 🌺Chloe🌺

Ooh! That story idea is so good!! I’m excited to hear more!!

I have two questions for you:
    1) How do you come up with story titles, especially when you’ve only partially written your novel or haven’t at all? Like, seriously girl you always have KILLER tittles!!
    2) When will you be announcing the results of the Imagine thing? I’M JUST SO EXCITED I LITERALLY DON’T EVEN THINK I CAN WAIT ANOTHER DAY!!! 100% NOT JOKING THO

    Questions for Robin? Hmm..
    What color is your toothbrush?
    πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰

    • Issabelle Perry

EEEEE THANK YOU SO SO SOOO MUCH, CHLOE!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!! That’s awesome cuz y’know I’m always excited to share more about my stories. πŸ˜‰

Oooo, these are WONDERFUL questions!!!! Let’s see, for the first one: Awwwww, you really like my titles? EEE THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!!!!! Well, first off, I generally try to stay away from the typical title that follows the The + adjective + noun format since those are done ALL the time. Having something fresh can really help make your title awesome. Also, I only use one-word titles with caution, since again they are overdone a lot. BUT sometimes they’re really awesome like with Forbidden and Checkmate. Now, when I first try to come up with a title, I try to think first if there is an item that is REALLY important to the story. Like for my Aladdin retelling, I was like what’s the first thing everyone thinks about when it comes to Aladdin? The lamp. And often in my book I used the phrase “into the lamp” so it only seemed right to make it the title. For my Robin Hood reimagining, I did the same thing. Robin Hood is often thought of living in the woods with his bow and arrow. And that’s how I got What Lay Beyond the Woods and its sequel title, Where the Arrows Fly. Another trick I use is to look for phrases that are commonly used when I’m writing. That’s how I got the title for “A Spy’s Life.” For Heir to His Crown, I was again using the trick of thinking about what was most important in the story. Keenum trying to reclaim the throne from an evil man who had invaded his country. So it was a fight for the crown, or more specifically, Keenum’s father’s crown. And Keenum was the Heir. So then I thought of what if I had called it, The Heir to the Crown. But it wasn’t as unique as it could’ve been, so I was like, hey, maybe I could change that second the to “His” as in Keenum’s father’s crown. And because I try to eliminate “the” at the beginning of titles whenever possible, I got Heir to His Crown. And always keep your eyes open for inspiration. Like for my story titled “Crown of Beauty, Crown of Ashes” I actually got that title idea from a verse in the Bible where it spoke that God would give them a crown of beauty in place of their crown of ashes. Study the titles of your favorite books and think what was it that made that title catch your eyes. And study the title of books in the genre and age group your story is!! I hoped that helps!!! If you have any more questions, just lemme know!!!! I plan on doing a post on this topic soon on TWN so maybe you can get some more stuff then!!!!

Alright, as for the answer to your second question. To be honest, I’ve kinda gotten behind this week, so the team at TWN and I haven’t gotten the chance to review the submissions yet. However, we plan to get all of that done this weekend. So everyone who submitted will be emailed their status somewhere between the fifth and the seventh. Preferably, the latter, but I always like to give myself wiggle room. πŸ˜‰ Then the winning authors will be announced on TWN hopefully by the twelfth. EEEEE, girl, I am soooo excited that you’re excited and I REALLY wish we could move faster on these things. I TOTALLY get how awful waiting is. *offers chocolate to help the wait*

Ooooo, girl, I LOVE your question for Robyn!!!! I can’t wait to read her answer!!! <333

  • Lorelei A.

Wow, I love the new series!!!!!! This post was sooooo fun to read, and I can’t wait to read more of them!!! 🀩

The Forbidden Chronicles sounds AWESOME! And I love the name Cascade, it’s so unique!!! <3

OOOOHHH What Lay Beyond the Woods sounds cool!!! *scolds myself for not hearing about it sooner* Have you ever read Melanie Dickerson? (She's my favorite author. 😊) She has a book called The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest, and What Lay Beyond the Woods reminds me of that. If you've read it: Is it like that? If you haven't read it: you totally should!

    Hrmmmm… questions for Robyn Hood…..

    1) is what you do terrifying?
    2) how do you deal with the fear?
    3) what drove you to hunt illegally and steal for the poor?
    4) I'm sure LOVE helping the poor, but does it sometimes not feel like it's worth the risk?
    5) this one's gonna be totally random……. what would be your music artist name? it can be as crazy as you want!!!

Thanks, Issabelle, I can't wait until your series hits the shelves!!! <33333 πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

    • Issabelle Perry

Awwww, Lorelei, THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Girl, you’re just the sweetest. It means SO much that you enjoyed the post and all that good stuff!!! WOOHOOO!!! That’s awesome cuz more is on the way!!! <3333

THANK YOU A HUNDRED TIMES OVER, girl!!!!!! I was really hoping all of y'all would love this new story idea, since it's kind of new area for me. EEEEE THANK YOU!!!!! I always love giving my characters unique names!!!! <3333

Like, girl, this comment is just giving me all the happy feels. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOUUUUU!!!!!!!! Lol, it's okay. I don't talk about What Lay Beyond the Woods much, even though Robyn is PRETTY upset about that. XD She can't understand why I put more focus on some other stories than hers, so it only seemed right to put her next in my series. Ooo, YES YES YESSSS!!!! With a capital Y E S!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOVE Melanie Dickerson. My favorite book from her is either The Captive Maiden, The Piper's Pursuit, or The Princess Spy. Wbu? Ooo, yes, I have read The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest. So What Lay Beyond the Woods is kinda like it in the fact that we have a female "Robin Hood" but my story has more of a fantasy feel than a historical fiction one, and not as much emphasis on the romance and a lot more action. So it's definitely got some similarities, but I'm not as awesome as Melanie Dickerson is. XDD

Oooo, girl, I LOVE those questions!!!!! I cannot wait to read Robyn's answers to them!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOO much for sending in these fantabulous questions!!!!!
You're very welcome, girl!!!!! Awwww, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!! That means more than words can ever say!!!! <3333

  • Alexa

Aww, yes!!!!! I saw this post in my inbox and immediately read it! I couldn’t wait to get home from my vacation to write this comment!! First off, I absolutely adore Cascade’s name!!! I once had a camp counselor named Cascade and I always loved that name from there on out. I feel like it fits her perfectly!! Second, I love the cover and I LOVE the graphics!! 😍😍😍 *Applause* Seriously though, you’re gonna have to spill the secret on how you make such perfect graphics! πŸ˜‰ I love your promotional graphic thing too! That’s so smart and so true!!!! (That was my favorite part!!) Also, the fire in Justin’s eyes is super amazing too!

*Gasps* I get to send in questions for Robyn? Really? I feel so honored!!
    1. What’s your favorite thing to do in your world?
    2. Are you a morning or night person?
    3. What’s something you have heard about and think is cool, but do not want to try or see in person?
    4. If you were able to ask Genie for three wishes, what would you want?
    5. Do you have any siblings?

(Yes, #3 is a weird question. Don’t ask πŸ˜‚) Can’t wait for episode 2!!!! *dances*

    • Issabelle Perry

EEEEEEE, girl, like, that just means so much to me!!! THANK YOUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awwww, you do? THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!! I really loved her name as well. It suits her personality and all. Oooo, really? THAT IS SO COOL!!!!! Cascade is such a gorgeous name!!! *high fives* YES I THOUGHT SO TOO!!!!!!! D’aww, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Alexa!!!! Girl, I honestly didn’t think my graphics were all that great, so it just means SO much to hear this from you!!!! Hehehehe, I might just have to do that. I *may* be planning a future post on how I make my character graphics through canva… πŸ˜‰ YESSS I am SO glad!!!! I loved it soo much and well, it just means a lot that I’m not the only one. XD D’aww, A HUNDRED MILLION THANK YOUS!!!!!! *hugs* (It was my favorite, too!!!! Twinsies!) YEAAAA!!!! That’s about the only thing I liked in the graphic was the fire in his eyes. XD

YESS YOU DO!!!!!! (I actually forgot for a moment that you weren’t here when I did my last character interview, so this would actually be your first time, right? THIS JUST MAKES THE INTERVIEW EVEN MORE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Gurl, THESE QUESTIONS ARE FANTABULOUS AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ ROBYN’S ANSWERS TO THEM!!!! THANK YOU SO SO SOOOOO MUCH for sending some in!!!!! *dances with you* Eeee same here!!

  • Lorelei A.

Awww, I’m glad you liked my comment!!!!! ACK, you’re so niceeeeee! <3 😊

WOOOPPEEEE I'm so happy to meet a fellow Melanie Dickerson fan!!!! Hmmmm… my favorite was probably the first one I ever read: The Healer's Apprentice. I like the Captive Maiden a lot, toooo!!!! I'm just waiting for Castle of Refuge to be available on the library!

Hmm okay, What Lay Beyond the Woods sounds really exciting!

Ooop got to go! <333333 I can't wait for Robyn's answers either!!!!!

    • Issabelle Perry

Awwww, girl, you’re too sweet. THANK YOU!!! 😊 ❀️❀️❀️❀️

EEEEE YESSS!!!!!! Same here! *high fives* Aaaah, YES!!! The Healer’s Apprentice was really good, too. It was actually the second one I read from her. (I have a problem with reading series out of order XD). I actually read The Captive Maiden in like a day, so yeah, I really enjoyed that one. πŸ˜‰ Aaaaahhhh, I hope its available at your library soon!!!! Waiting to be able to read books IS SO HARD!!! I actually haven’t gotten to try out Melanie’s new series yet cuz I’ve still been trying to finish up the Hagenheim one. *sniffs* (But I’m almost done!! I only have to read numbers two and eleven.)

EEE THANK YOUUUU!!!!!! I hope it’s as awesome as it sounds!!!!! <3333

      <33333333 Awesome!!!! I'm sooo glad you're excited too!!! πŸ™‚

      • Lorelei A.

Ahhh, you’re almost there! The last book made me tear up because it took me like a year to read the whole Hagenheim series, so it was this whole adventure, you know? Her new series is different because it’s centered in England instead of Germany, but I still love it!!! (We all need a little variety, right?) KEEP READING!!! YOU’RE SO CLOSE! πŸ™‚

I also saw that you’re working on a new book: In Healing Hands. How’s it going so far? Happy writing!!! ❀

        • Issabelle Perry

Aaahhh, I can imagine!!! I figured I was going to get really emotional after reading the final book in the series so that’s why I’ve been saving it for a moment when I just need to get really emotional in a story, if that makes any sense. XD Oh, yeah, I TOTALLY get that!!! Yes, I always love a good variety! I didn’t think it would be exactly the same, but that’s awesome you still love it!!! I’m DEFINITELY going to have to get my hands on a copy somehow…πŸ€” Aww, YESSS I TOTALLY WILL!!!! *pumps fist in the air*

Oooo, first *gives you a high five for being the first one to mention it* I always have this thing every time I put up a new story on my progress bar that’s like, oooh, I wonder who will be the first person to say something about it. XD Honestly, so far this book might make it on the list of my all-time favorites. It’s a new genre style for me and the first time I’ve ever tried to write a Christian fiction novel, so I’m just SO ecstatic for it and I am already in love with my characters!!! THANK YOU and same back at you!!!!! I hope your writing has been going fantabulous as well!!! <333

  • Lorelei A.

Yeah, I totally get it! It has to be the right moment. πŸ™‚

Oh, well *high fives back* XD I’m so glad you’re enjoying writing it!!!! It sounds awesome and it’s so
cool that you’re trying a different genre!! (I always did love variety XD)
AWWW, thank you. <3 I'm just deciding if I want to start a new story or work on something I already have. XD I hope your writing journey goes awesomely!!!! πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ€©πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜„

      • Issabelle Perry

Gurl, that is PERFECTLY okay!!! No worries at all. You wouldn’t believe the number of times I’ve submitted double comments, so there is NOTHING to apologize for!!!!! (Seriously, I actually like it when people send in a lotta comments. Reading comments is my favorite part of blogging and I never mind at all!!!!)

    • Issabelle Perry

Phew, I’m glad. Cuz for a moment there I was thinking I was just being my crazy ole self and that normal people weren’t that way. πŸ˜‚
Aww, THANK YOUUUUU!!!!!! I was really really REALLY hoping other people would think it sounds awesome ‘specially cuz this is a completely new style for me and I’m always like, oh, what if no one likes it and all that stuff. (YES ME TOO!!!!! I get tired of some ole same ole and hafta change it up a bit for me.)
You’re very welcome!!!! <3333 Ooooo, I get how hard of a choice that is. But you can do it, Lorelei!!! *cheers and waves pom poms* THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Same back at ya, sista!!! πŸ™‚

      • Lorelei A.

Aww, thanks! Haha, I know!!! Gotta change it up (I was writing a sci-fi book once and my usual genre is historical romance/fantasy) πŸ™‚

Love the knew post! (Is it just me, or is the word “bookish” like so awesome?)

I have so many book ideas in my mind right now, it’s so hard to choose. I think I might brainstorm for a book that I was working on and stopped, so I can keep writing it. And also edit a friend’s story and/or short story. That should keep me busy for a while. XD

        • Issabelle Perry

You’re welcome!!!! Yup, you’re right!!!!! (Oh, wow, you’re like me on that one. Go to a 100% completely different genre. πŸ˜‰ )

THANK YOUUU!!!!! <3333 (It is NOT just you!! The word bookish is like one of THE best ones in the dictionary!!!!!)

Aaaaahhhh, I SO FEEL YA!!!!!!! As you will probably see as I continue this new series is that I have more book ideas than I know what to do with. XD Ooooo, girl, I think that is a WONDERFUL idea!!! Good luck. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! Hahaha, those sounds like sooooo much fun!!!! <3333

  • Mahitha

Well, well, well, Issabelle. It seems you’ve got your hands full with amazing story ideas just like me. (Though, I wouldn’t say my ideas are as amazing as yours…XD.) I can’t wait for all of us to grow up and see every single one of your books on my bookshelves! πŸ˜€

    • Issabelle Perry

Hahahaha, yup, that seems about right. XD (Girl, I know that is NOT true!!! I know I don’t know about a lot of your story ideas, but the ones I do know are always AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Aaaahhh, girl, SAME HERE!!!!!! I’m just waiting for the day when I get to have a shelf on my bookshelf that is specifically only for my TWN writers. And then when y’all are all famous, I’ll get to carry around your books and be like, I’m best friends with this NYT bestselling author!!!!! XD

  • Saraina

            • Issabelle Perry
